We are a community singing community modeled on Victoria's highly successful 300+ voice Gettin’ Higher Choir and we are in harmony with the philosophy of the Ubuntu Choirs Society. We welcome singers of all ages, cultures, beliefs and backgrounds, experience and abilities.
Along with both those organizations we believe that the joy of singing is a universal birthright, and that together, regardless of musical background, we can help improve the world by joining voices in song.

Doug Paterson
Doug founded the Harmonious Family Choir, now known as the Harmonious Singers, in the Spring of 2009.
He is an experienced choral singer, musician and dance caller…a director of both children’s choirs and musical productions. He is also a graduate of Denis Donnelly and Shivon Robinsong’s “Community Choir Leadership Trainings” and is a:

Doug also teaches both piano and guitar to individuals and family groups. He particularly likes
to create

Bill Hanson
In addition to his behind the scenes registration and communications work for the Harmonious Singers since the group's founding Bill has worked part-time in the same capacity since the Fall of 2009 for Victoria's 300+ voice Gettin' Higher Choir.
In order to keep himself from slowing down too much he also works for himself building and maintaining web sites as sole proprietor of WebEasy Services. |
